Event results and report for our Meeting at Swinley Forest 31 July2024
For those that did not make Swinley we had a fantastic day of sunshine, great food and occasional good golf shots. Many thanks to Dave K for being the Day Steward and sorting out the many different scores and prizes.
The winner of the singles Merrin Cup was John Hayes with a magnificent 39 points and the Past Captain Trophy was hotly contested with Ben being the victor. Nearest the pin was Louie Wright and longest drive was Charlie Mott. In the afternoon Greensomes the Rhodes family managed to work as a team (for a change) and just managed to win by one point - well done to James and yours truly! The morning Guest prize was won by James Rhodes (son of Steve).
Welcome to our 6 guests David C, Charlie, James, Alex, Mark and Paul M who all seemed to enjoy themselves.the time.
Below are pictures of Nick Rivers presenting prizes - lighting was not ideal for taking photos!
